This portal is illuminated by moonlight.

This morning, I woke up at 3:30am to an intense rainstorm, with transformers exploding and all my wind chimes singing. I gave up on sleep at 4:00am. Instead, I listened to the storm for another two and a half hours.

It was the perfect prelude to this potent portal, my favorite one in the entire year. Autumn is the season when we get surrounded, even immersed, in the death and retreat of nature.

No surprise that the veil thins, that so many cultures recognize this time to connect with those beyond the veil.

AND it's full moon, as you know.
How are your intentions? What's ripening and coming into the light?
(I mean, besides the obvious collective things, right?)

Friday night I'm leading a moon circle, and we're going deep and far with ancestor work. I'd love to share some of the questions that we'll be diving into...but I don't want any spoilers, since people coming to the circle will also receive this email.

I imagine many of you have made plans for this weekend. The rest of my plans: meditation, rest, reading, warm beverages, bonfires. 

And if you're American, I imagine many of you have made—and perhaps already executed—your voting plan. Same here.

I want to ask, though, if you've made plans for not just voting/Election Day, but what comes after. There is plenty of discussion on voting, but I've seen little about what happens after that. 

What are your plans for Election Week?

Regardless of your citizenship or nationality, it's going to be intense. Regardless of outcome. 

Not surprisingly or coincidentally, my plans for next week resemble my weekend plans: meditation, rest, rituals, warm beverages, nourishing meals, bonfires, rituals. (Because let's be honest, those are just my general life plans.)

Beyond that, Jon and I have stocked up on food and household essentials. Because, regardless of outcome, we might not feel like going out on random errands.

Also, a grounded home space makes us more available to those without the multiple layers of privilege that we have, who are more vulnerable. Regardless of outcome.

So, I encourage you to plan accordingly. This is not a time for isolation if that doesn't serve you right now. We are all connected, here and beyond the veil.

I'm grateful that I opened this weekend's portal with a witnessing a storm. I'm grateful that the moon is shining brightly on us through this weekend and into the next click of the year.
