ancestor altar for the win + my online scheduler is LIVE
In the two human weeks since my last love letter, I feel like we've lived through multiple years' worth of energy. It's all the things that that much time is—exciting, exhausting, annoying, energizing, and everything else.
I had an intense Samhain journey, including ritual work and play spaces. Lots of clarity, lots of intensity, lots of surrender.
I'm becoming more comfortable with my capacity to communicate with those beyond the veil. The more I allow myself to relax into who I am, the stronger I become. Perhaps you've found this true for yourself as well, in any capacity.
Samhain was so powerful that I kept the altar up for the election. By the end of last week, I couldn't believe I'd gone all these years without keeping that altar up.
Friends, I'm NEVER going through another presidential election without the ancestors present in that way.
Other things keep me grounded too, of course. Many of you know that last year I started creating a tarot deck. Soon after that, I started giving free tarot card readings. First to friends, then friends of friends, eventually to total strangers. I've practiced divination for many years, but I'd never read for other people until last year.
I didn't know if I'd like it—or, in all honesty, even be good at it. But over the course of all these readings, I learned that both those "if" statements were a resounding YES.
Y'all - I LOVE doing readings. Punching holes in reality, altering consciousness, expanding intuition - my favorite things! AND I got to share them with others and support their journeys. It's amazing to hold space for people to find joy, discover insight, and send love to tender places.
Generally, these readings went 1 of 2 ways:
~ I pulled some cards, and people had a short but potent check in. Kind of a wave hello to the universe. It reminded me of my short love letters—some insight, perhaps a reset. And then off you go.
~ People went on a journey of sorts, where we pulled in other threads and ideas and struggles and wisdom.
Maybe we started with a card pull around the struggle to feel intuition. At some point that led to discussing the wood wide web (not a typo), how that compares to mirror neurons, and how mirror neurons can throw intuition out of whack.
Other times it was a space to dig into the conditioning of capitalist patriarchy, how that limits everyone, and how to reframe your perspective.
Sometimes it was the difference between moving things around to tidy up vs realizing you're making a temple space.
All the while, accompanied by whatever I channel, whatever comes from beyond the physical experience.
Life things in the summer necessitated a break from these sessions. Now it feels really joyful to offer them again.

Last weekend had the surprise sweetness of celebrating that my state (Georgia) went blue. Saturday was a magical, delightful holiday that I never expected to have. The exuberance was a tremendous relief. I hope you're feeling some lightness too, as well as finding connections around all that we can do together to make a stronger, more loving world.
