the connection between ridiculous & intuition

Question for those in urban areas: Have you ever seen anyone collecting fallen branches in a wheelbarrow?

I have not, in my decades of urban living. I have, however, done that exact collecting.

Last week there were some storms in my neighborhood, which meant lots of fallen branches. The kindling pile in my yard has dwindled recently, so I decided to collect wood. As I maneuvered the wheelbarrow around phone poles, bushes, and other obstructions, I had to chuckle.

I mean, it's a little ridiculous, right? I'm not offended if you think so. I felt kind of absurd.

Full disclosure: I chose to do this in the afternoon, before any traffic later in the day. I was glad that meant fewer people would see me.

But I'm also glad that I can do this at all—because there's a clear connection to intuition in this act.

That I can take a wheelbarrow around the block, fill it with sticks and branches, steer it home, and then go BACK to carry a giant branch (it extends past the edges of the photo) that I couldn't break down—yeah, I'm not overly worried about the opinions strangers or neighbors.

And that means I'm not *limited* by their opinions.

Because if I'm so limited by other people's opinions that I can't move sticks, I will certainly be limited about things that actually matter—like honoring my intuition, expressing my truth, holding my boundaries.

So, I'm curious - what ridiculous things are you willing to do, even if someone sees you? What limits to you ignore?

Or, if this makes you realize other people's opinions are restricting you, what's one thing you're going to do to shift your perspective?

In absurd delight,
S.
