a Japanese example of practi-spiri-cality
It's full moon, so it's the perfect time to shine light on practi-spiri-cality — my word to describe the grounding of spirit into the practical, transmuting the practical into spirit.
This is essential to Siderealchemy, because most people are operating in spirit OR matter, rather than thriving in the innate connection of the two.
For example –
Practically minded people fixate on rational, quantifiable thinking and living, without acknowledgement of the emotional. See: "experts" who insist that business isn't personal.
Another example is the businessman whose book is intended to spark innovative thinking. That same billionaire, who is so clueless that, upon return from his subsidized jaunt into space, thanked his exploited workers for their support.
JB, you went all that way and could see so far, and yet somehow you're even more myopic.
That cowboy hat probably isn't helping.
[facepalm]
You know what I mean. No soul.
Meanwhile, plenty of "conscious" people are far too abstract and ignore actual reality.
Recently I've seen several generic variations of an ad professing that "all you need is abundance mindset and all money comes to you immediately" vibe. It's clueless.
This variation, though, is misleading and predatory:
Classic reductionism: wealth "all comes down" to just ONE AND ONLY ONE thing! And this is something the facilitators can teach you. There will be details, certainly, in a paid pitch at the end of this free masterclass.
[another facepalm]
What irritates me about this promotion, besides the gross reductionism –
I agree with the problem. Lots of people have limiting beliefs about money. Capitalism, with its centering of capital, is rife with toxic ideas of wealth and value. (Because wealth and value ≠ capital.)
So, yes, healing is needed.
And as a former Registered Alien in Japan (documentation below), I know firsthand there are PLENTY of financial lessons to learn from Japanese people.
My life as a Registered Alien was extremely comfortable financially, even on a super basic teacher's salary.
Yes, examples from the locals were a good influence. I still live those lessons, decades later.
Other things, though, made just as much, if not more of an impact:
~ Healthcare, heavily subsidized. I'm talking less than $20 for a doctor's visit, in one of the most expensive countries in the world. As a Registered Alien, I was entitled BY LAW to have healthcare. It was not a bonus perk from my employer.
~ Paid vacation. A lot. School breaks + federal holidays gave me about 6 weeks off a year.
Plus my additional weeks of personal days, to schedule at my discretion (with permission from my school).
Total for me, per year = a couple months of PAID time off.
Also available for everyone, including Registered Aliens: sick days, very generous parental leave, subsidized continuing ed, and more.
~ Japanese schools provide lunch for all students, teachers, and staff. No one pays on site; lunch is in the education budget.
In other words – school employees eat lunch for free while at work; families with children in school don't pay for children's lunches on school days. Every day of school.
I could go on, but you get the idea.
Let's go back to practi-spiri-cality.
Super abstract, law of attraction types would have you believe that nothing outside you affects your circumstances.
That attitude ignores the richness (pun intended) of the greater context, for the sake of capitalistic fixation on the individual.
Mindset is everything, yes –
Until you go outside yourself, to the collective context.
Because all the mindset work in the universe doesn't manifest universal healthcare, abundant PTO, and free lunch.
People without any cultural fluency, without any emphasis on the world as it exists, are not worth your precious time and energy.
Ungrounded, myopic spirit/energy work is toxic.
You deserve better than shallow skimming of reality. That's why I believe in practi-spiri-cality.
Finally, as mentioned above – here's my most official documentation from the Japanese government, my driver's license:
I shared this photo on IG earlier this week, with a fun discount. Whatever I offer there will always show up here. So, if you correctly guess my age in this photo, I'll give you 50% off an Intuitive Dive!
Be discerning out there. And please share with someone who would appreciate these connections.
Here on earth,
S.
