a tiny lil' preview of 2025
Hello from Siderealchemy! It's been a while since I wrote from this address.
(If you haven't been getting love notes in the last year or so, you can see the archive here.)
For many years, I found myself sending love letters this time of year about ancestor connections and kinship. In autumn, my ancestral practices typically deepened.
For the last couple of years, though, that dynamic has shifted. My ancestral practices are more integrated, ongoing throughout the year. While I do have a few things planned in the next week, it's way less than I used to do around this time.
Not to say that's a better way. But it's why I've been quiet about those practices in this time. I still find them invaluable. These days, they are even more essential to my well-being.
Something my ancestors and guides have been helping me with, for over a year: ways to teach again.
I've haven't taught any classes or workshops in years, due to exhaustion and focus on other projects.
Meanwhile, I've put a lot of thought into ways I might teach again. I've been asking for support, from my ancestors and guides, in these efforts. That I hold a powerful space and honor my limitations as someone immunocompromised, living with chronic conditions and a brain injury.
The abbreviated update is:
I have a very clear intention for what I want to create in 2025.
Part of the plan is to host small group workshops in my home, as well as ways to share online, so that you don't have to be there in person.
Here's a tiny preview:
I look forward to sharing more very soon.
For now, though, I have a few questions, please.
First, for anyone who wants to share, I'd love to know your favorite tarot or oracle deck. What do you like about it? What, if anything, do you dislike about it?
Second, for anyone local who might be interested in attending these workshops. As someone immunocompromised, living with chronic conditions and a brain injury, I need to be very careful about exposure.
I would love to know what, if any precautions you take these days, or how you handle the risks of Covid infection.
This comes with no judgement and no advice from me. I simply want to know how to navigate safety when inviting people to my home.
We're heading into an intense week. Don't forget to lean into your support, get quality time outdoors, and ground yourself in love as much as possible. Whatever happens, we're gonna need all of it.
In grace,
S.
