If you're not familiar with Kickstarter – saving the campaign is NOT an obligation to back it. The "notify me on launch" button just means that you'll get an email from Kickstarter right before the campaign launches.
You might be wondering – Won't I get a love letter about this too?
Yes, you will, for sure, absolutely!
But, saving the campaign is a big boost for its credibility and word of mouth. Kickstarter has an algorithm, just like any other platform. The more engagement the campaign has, the more likely Kickstarter will bring it to the attention of visitors to their site, in the "coming soon" section.
Regardless of whether you think you'll back the deck, saving the campaign is a huge help and I appreciate it.
